Silly kids!

So we are finally all better! We went to Twin last weekend but had to come home early because Daegan had an allergic reaction to something. I still can't figure out exactly what but he is all better now and I just hope that we are done with the sickness this winter! I can't believe how sick we have been it is just CRAZY!!!

So on to the real reason I am posting today!
There is never a dull moment in our home these days. Daegan is very much in the stage that if he can get you to laugh once he will continue to do whatever you laughed at over and over. He is also turning into quite the dare devil. He jumps off the bed, couches, chairs... really anything. We have a really hard time getting him to eat at dinner because he is usually standing on the seat of his chair. Well last week he decided that he could stand on the arm rest of his chair. It made me so nervous but that only made him want to do it more. What a punk! Anyways while standing on the arm rest Tyson got him to raise his hands in the air and yell adrenaline. I am really in trouble when it comes to Tyson and Daegan. They just feed off of each other.

Tayci is getting so big. She is now 6 months old and we took her to the doctor yesterday for a check up and shots. She now weighs 15.4 lbs (34%) height 26.5 in (74%) head cir. 16.1 in (9%) I can't believe how tall she is.
Tayci's personality has really started to show up too! She loves to laugh and smile. She also loves to watch Daegan. She hasn't rolled over for a really long time but she will sit all day if I would let her. I think it is because she wants to be able to watch everything that is going on around her. One day she will roll and roll but right now she could really care less.
Tayci also likes to grab at things and gets really frustrated if we don't let her have what she wants. She is very determined. The other day I was putting Daegan down for a nap and Tayci got really really quiet. I thought she might have just fallen asleep since her nap time was come up too but when I went to check on her I found this...

She was so proud of herself when I came in to check on her. She would do it over and over and then laugh. It was so cute.
Oh and for any of you that remember how photogenic Daegan was when he was little...I think Tayci is just the same. She started smiling at me the moment I got the camera out!

Sick, Sick, Sick

Both the kids were so sick!

Last week was no fun at all! Daegan started getting sick on Saturday, he was extra tired and grouchy! Sunday morning he woke up with a fever. Never a good sign but with Tylonal it would go away. I had to keep up with the Tylonal regularly or it would come back again. Then about 4 am Sunday night Tayci woke up with a fever! Oh crap! Fever plus a 5 1/2 month old is never good and kind of scares me. I realized I am more calm now then when Daegan was little. With Daegan I felt like I needed to call the on call nurse first thing. Well yeah that doesn't do much anyways so I just now bypass that option. I knew I just needed to give her Tylonal and get her back to sleep. The only problem is that Tayci's medicine was in Daegan's room. Now you probably don't know but Daegan is a very lite sleeper and I didn't want to wake him up but I decided the need for the medicine was a must so I very carefully open Daegan's door and tiptoed into his room. I grabbed the medicine and almost had the door shut when I hear Daegan start to cry. Oh crap! So I go back in, pick him up (notice that he was HOT too) and bring him into bed with me. We gave Daegan and Tayci medicine and then try to get everyone back to sleep. Tyson takes Daegan and climbs into our bed and I take Tayci and sit and rock her back to sleep. We all were able to sleep a little bit longer but when we woke up Monday morning the kids still had fevers.
I decided to take them into the doctors (as luck would have it it was Presidents Day and the pediatrician was closed so we had to go to Community Care). The doctor checked the kids over and said that Daegan had a ear ache and gave him antibiotic and said Tayci was fine. I thought we were over the hard part and now we just had to wait the cold out. I just wish it was the simple. By Thursday afternoon Tayci wasn't doing very good. She was coughing like crazy, snotty, she still had a fever, and just over all miserable. Tyson got home from work early and I decided to take Tayci into her pediatrician. We saw the PA and he said that Tayci had a ear infection and RSV. Her RSV wasn't serious enough to take her to the hospital but we needed to keep watching her. He gave her antibiotic and told me to do 1 to 2 breathing treatments on her a day.
She is doing much better. She is still snotty but her fever finally broke Thursday night. I think that we caught the RSV way early and were lucky not to have to ever go to the hospital! Daegan is doing great and Tayci is getting better every day.
In other news, Tayci has learned to sit this last week. She hasn't rolled over in a while but she will when she wants too. Also she loves to eat cereal and fruit.
Daegan is so much fun these days. He really is a little boy and is so full of life. He talks so much and can have a full conversation with you. He loves to laugh and have fun. He is such a great help with Tayci. If she is crying and we can't get to her right that second Daegan will talked to her and say "Shhhhshhh" in a very loving tone! We love him so much!

Once we get better we will so much more HAPPY!!!
Hope you all are doing wonderful and don't have any sickness in your home!!

the last month or so...

Our lives have been pretty busy since Christmas and I just haven't gotten around to blogging about it. So lets go back to over a month ago. Christmas was really fun and we enjoyed spending time with our families. Daegan especially enjoyed playing with his cousins everyday. The pictures below are Daegan and Tayci in their Christmas clothes.

We spent New Years in Twin and we came home to several inches of new snow. (Why couldn't it have snowed when Tyson's family was here) Well our car is kinda pathetic and has a traction control thing on it, so that being said we got stuck in the drive way. We only made it about 8 feet and then we couldn't go any further. Tyson had to plow the drive so that we could get up to the garage.
So PATHETIC!!
Lately Daegan has been a great helper in the kitchen. He always wants to get up on the counter to help me cook. He loves it when he gets to sample the treats.
Messy, messy boy!
Daegan loves Tayci so much. He wants her to play with him and always is bring her toys. He even shares his favorite cars with her and doesn't care if the very first thing she does is put them in her mouth. He loves taking her for rides on his four wheeler and when he does he is EXTRA careful and always goes slow for her. He is a great big brother and friend for Tayci. I can't wait till they can actually play together!

Tayci Lee Dye (AKA Bubbles) This girl always has bubbles coming out of her mouth. Tayci is such a happy baby and just wants to be in the middle of everything. She loves watching Daegan play and waits to join in so bad. She WILL NOT stop moving. She has only rolled over a couple of times but if she could she would go and never stop.

Tyson calls her a little chub but really she is very long and skinny. (It is weird to have a baby so long... Daegan has always been so short) She is 5 months old now and fits in the 6-9 month clothing. This last month we started on cereal and she loves it most of the time. She sometimes forgets how to shallow but we are still practicing. We love her so much and can't wait till she starts to really be able to move!

This month has just flown by and we hope February does that same because WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! We will hopefully close on it within the first two weeks on March (It is still being built) It is about 2 minutes away from the North Rigby exit and once we get it we would love to have any visitors that would like to stop by. We are so excited and as soon as I can I will post pictures!!!

TAYCI, DAEGAN, and little help!

Tayci is such a good baby. Most days all I have to do is lay her in her bed and she will fall asleep just a couple of minutes later. I love the age Tayci is right now too! She smiles at us all the time and is really starting to giggle. She loves when Daegan plays with her and just is overall a really sweet little girl.

Ok yes Daegan is picking his nose. He thinks it is funny. My sister Michele tried to tell him that if he picks his nose the monster living in his nose will bite his finger. Well that really backfired on us and now loves to play with his monster. So now I have to tell him that if he pokes his monster then the monster will leave. So far this has been working.

Daegan is so funny these days. He loves to play all day long and if you start playing with him chances are you can't stop playing. We have been asking him what he wants for Christmas and he will say, "Ummmm toys." Christmas morning is going to be fun this year because he actually gets what is going on.
Update/HELP! So a couple of post ago I talked about how Daegan chipped his tooth. Well now his other front tooth (not the chipped one) is starting to turn gray. I think this is the tooth that he really hit and now I think it might be dieing. What should we do? Should we take him into the dentist? Will they pull it if we do? Or should we just let it die?  We would love your input! Thanks!!!
